Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Kitchen Operations Management

. Lead and manage daily kitchen operations.

. Plan, organize, and supervise food preparation and cooking activities.

. Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams.

. Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.

2. Menu Planning & Development

. Design and update menus in line with company concept and customer preferences.

. Develop new dishes and improve existing recipes.

. Standardize recipes and cooking procedures.

. Monitor food trends and introduce seasonal or promotional items.

3. Quality Control

. Ensure all dishes meet quality and presentation standards.

. Conduct regular checks on food freshness and storage conditions.

. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations (NEA/SFA requirements).

4. Cost & Inventory Management

. Monitor food cost, wastage, and portion control.

. Plan purchasing requirements and liaise with suppliers.

. Conduct regular stock checks and inventory management.

. Ensure proper storage and minimize spoilage.

5. Team Leadership & Training

. Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff.

. Assign duties and schedule staff shifts.

. Ensure discipline, teamwork, and productivity in the kitchen.

. Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance.

6. Compliance & Safety

. Ensure compliance with all food hygiene, workplace safety, and sanitation regulations.

. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and working areas.

. Implement and enforce safe food handling procedures.

7. Financial & Administrative Duties

. Work closely with management to achieve profitability targets.

. Prepare reports on food cost, kitchen performance, and manpower planning.

. Control operational expenses within budget.

Requirements:

. Minimum 01 year of experience as Head Chef / Senior Chef.

. Strong leadership and kitchen management skills.

. Knowledge of Bangladeshi / South Asian cuisine (if applicable).

. Good understanding of food safety regulations in Singapore.

. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
