We're hiring an experienced Head Chef to manage daily kitchen operations, guide the team, and ensure food quality, hygiene, and cost control are consistently met.
Kitchen Operations
Manage daily kitchen operations and food preparation
Ensure timely service during peak periods
Food Quality & Standards
Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation
Follow approved recipes, procedures, and kitchen standards
People & Training
Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff
Assign duties and ensure adequate manpower coverage
Food Safety & Hygiene
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safe kitchen practices
Cost & Inventory Control
Control food cost, portioning, and minimise wastage
Manage stock ordering, storage, and rotation
Coordination & Support
Work closely with service team and management
Support audits, menu execution, and operational planning
Other Information:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a full-service restaurant
Strong knowledge of Japanese or Japanese-Western cuisine
Solid understanding of kitchen operations, food costing, and manpower planning
Familiar with Singapore food safety and hygiene regulations
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Hands-on, disciplined, and able to perform under pressure
Strong sense of responsibility and ownership
