Job Description

An established technology organization is looking for an experienced materials and supply chain professional to support complex hardware manufacturing programmes.

This person will manage material availability across external manufacturing partners, identify supply risks and ensure production plans remain on schedule for Data Center Compute & Storage applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage material readiness and supply execution across assigned ODM partners.
  • Ensure suppliers can meet agreed production schedules and hardware build commitments.
  • Review demand, supply and production plans with supplier planning and procurement teams.
  • Identify component shortages and coordinate clear recovery plans with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Align material-planning systems with current demand and manufacturing requirements.
  • Track whether the required components are available before each planned production build.
  • Manage complex bills of materials and assess how component issues could affect production.
  • Monitor inventory levels, excess or obsolete materials and hardware lifecycle changes.
  • Work with procurement, engineering, logistics, operations and new-product teams to resolve supply constraints.
  • Maintain accurate supply-risk reporting and provide clear updates to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in materials management, supply chain execution, manufacturing operations or manufacturing-partner programme management within the technology industry.
  • Direct experience working with ODM planning and procurement teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing complex bills of materials, material readiness and commit-to-build processes.
  • Strong understanding of MRP systems, demand planning, supply planning and inventory management.
  • Mandarin proficiency is required for regular communication with manufacturing partners and suppliers across Asia-Pacific.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Ability to resolve supply issues and drive action under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Experience supporting data-centre, server, compute, storage or networking hardware would be preferred.
  • Experience with rack-level hardware, Asian manufacturing supply chains or an APICS/ASCM certification would be advantageous.
