Job Description- Be the subject-matter expert for all signalling hardware architecture within CBTC GoA4 projects.
- Lead and review key hardware deliverables, including:
- Detailed bookwirings & interconnection diagrams
- Bonding & earthing plans with track and traction integration
- Cable core plans
- PDP line diagrams
- Equipment specifications
- Perform and validate load flow and power consumption calculations.
- Drive technical decisions, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure system safety & compliance.
- Lead a team of Hardware Design Engineers-guiding design work, reviewing outputs, and ensuring quality.
- Manage resource planning, project allocation, and engineering governance.
- Champion standardization, reusable design templates, and process improvements.
- Oversee hardware design activities across the project lifecycle-design, reviews, audits, validation.
- Ensure compliance with international standards (EN 50126/50128/50129, IEC 61375, IEC 60204, etc.)
- Work closely with system engineering, installation, testing, and commissioning teams.
- Represent the company in customer workshops, technical discussions, and design approval stages.
The Successful Applicant- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 7+ years of experience in railway signalling, hardware design, or safety-critical electrical systems.
- Proven experience in:
- Producing & reviewing detailed wiring diagrams
- Cable routing & bonding design
- Power systems and electrical loading
- Hardware design for signalling or similar domains
- 2-3 years of technical leadership with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in CBTC systems, preferably GoA4, is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with design automation tools and document control systems.
