Overview
We are looking for a skilled Handyman to perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks in a data centre setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and be committed to delivering high-quality work that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of non-critical facility systems, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
- Install and repair electrical fixtures, plumbing fixtures, HVAC systems, and appliances.
- Install drywall, repair holes and cracks, and prepare surfaces for painting.
- Install flooring, including raised access floor and data centre floor tiles.
- Perform exterior maintenance tasks such as landscaping, mowing .
- Respond to customer service requests promptly and courteously, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a handyman or similar role.
- Proficient with power and hand tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Physical dexterity and strength to perform manual labor tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certificate in plumbing, electrical, or carpentry (optional).
