Halal Assurance Officer (Part-Time Contract)
3 days/week | Flexible Hours | 1-year contract (renewable)
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain Halal assurance documentation (HAS / HalMQ)
- Verify ingredients, suppliers, and Halal certificates
- Prepare and support MUIS audits and certification renewals
- Conduct on-site Halal checks and staff briefings as required
- Liaise with suppliers and certifying bodies
Requirements
- Muslim candidate (MUIS requirement for Halal Assurance Officer)
- Certified Halal Assurance Officer, recognised by MUIS would be a plus, otherwise training will be provided
- Experience with MUIS Halal certification and audit processes is a plus
- Background in F&B, food manufacturing, or food operations preferred
Work Arrangement
- 3 days/week, approx 3h/day. Flexible hours available.
- Primarily remote (documentation, supplier verification, correspondence)
- Onsite at our production kitchen required during MUIS audits and scheduled Halal checks
- 1-year contract
Remuneration: $800-$1,000/month, commensurate with experience
