Role Description

English to Tamil (Singapore) linguist is a project-based freelance position. Normal tasks include translating documents, reviewing translations and other tasks when needed.

Here are some details about our upcoming projects

• Language pair: English to Tamil (Singapore dialect)
• Content: A public health survey regarding hearing loss, dementia risk, and hearing aid adoption among local seniors. Sample attached.
• Target Audience: Local Singaporean seniors (elderly). 
• Mode of Survey: Enumerator-assisted. 

Qualifications

• Strong localization skills with more than 5 years of experience
• Tamil speakers based in Singapore, or linguists with long-term experience working on localized content for the Singapore government/healthcare sector.
• Familiarity with CAT tools and the ability to follow style guides and terminology glossaries.
• Attention to detail, strong time management and responsive during working hour.
