Job Title: GTAW Welder (Malaysian)
Salary Range: $1500 - $2200 per month
Reporting To: Production Manager
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in performing Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIC) on stainless steel piping, pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
- Experience in a fabrication workshop environment is preferred.
Required Skills and Responsibilities:
- Able to perform GTAW (TIG) welding on stainless steel piping and components in accordance with approved welding procedures.
- Able to weld small-diameter stainless steel piping of 1 inch and above in the 6G position.
- Able to interpret welding procedure and welding symbols.
- Able to prepare and fit-up joints together with fitter prior to welding to meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Able to produce welds that comply with applicable codes and quality standards to fulfil 100% Radiography Test (RT) requirements.
- Familiar with welding equipment, consumables and proper handling of stainless steel materials.
- Able to carry out visual inspection of completed welds and rectify welding defects when required.
- Comply with workplace safety requirements and maintain good housekeeping practices.
