ALG is hiring Class 5 Drivers to support Ground Support Equipment (GSE) operations for our esteemed client in the engineering and aviation sector. This is a 2-year contract role and strong potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive and operate various airport vehicles and GSE units safely across facility grounds.
- Support the maintenance, repair and services of GSE equipment, airport vehicles and similar industrial equipment according to checklists and work instructions.
- Working on different systems such as Diesel/ Electronics/Hydraulics/Mechanical within the GSE equipment, airport vehicles.
- Assist technicians in identifying and resolving faults to ensure smooth operations and quick turnaround times.
- Carry out basic inspections, report defects, and perform light repairs as required.
- Maintain quality standards and safety compliance during all maintenance activities.
- Provide on-the-ground feedback to improve maintenance procedures and efficiency.
Job Requirement:
- Valid Class 5 Driving License
- Nitec or equivalent qualification in automotive, mechanical, or technical trades preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive or related maintenance industry (ORD NS Drivers are welcome to apply).
- Team player with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative.
- Willing to work hands-on in an operational and engineering environment.
