Umdasch Group Ventures is the innovation hub of the Umdasch Group, whose task is to identify new technologies. It does this in the core areas of construction and retail, and in future also in new areas along the life cycle of a building object.
Job Description
As a Growth Ventures Intern, you will support strategic growth initiatives across the Umdasch Group. Your work will focus on market intelligence, company scouting for M&A, and early-stage deal support across selected growth areas within the built environment and construction technology space. This role offers hands-on exposure to corporate M&A, corporate venturing, and growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
. Conduct structured market and sector research on construction technology, built-environment innovation, and defined growth areas
. Support startup scouting, target identification, and opportunity mapping
. Prepare presentations, research summaries, and management materials for internal stakeholders
. Map the external innovation ecosystem, including accelerators, venture funds, brokers, startup platforms, and academic institutions
. Support outreach initiatives, meeting preparation, and follow-ups with external partners
. Monitor industry developments, market trends, and relevant startup and technology news
Your Background
. Bachelor's degree completed or near completion in business, economics, or a related field
. Strong interest in growth strategy, M&A, and venture ecosystems
. Solid desk research, analytical, and synthesis skills
. Experience using AI-based tools for research, documentation, and analysis
. Structured, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently
. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

The internship starts in mid-August 2026 with a minimum duration of 6 months. Candidates must be eligible to work in Singapore for the full duration of the assignment or hold a valid work holiday pass permit covering the period of employment.
