Job Summary

We are seeking a curious, motivated, and data-oriented Growth Engineer Intern to join our team. This is a hands-on, learning-by-doing role at the intersection of product, marketing, and engineering. You will support the team in executing technical initiatives that influence key business metrics such as user activation, engagement, and retention.

This role is not about building large features from scratch. Instead, you will focus on improving and optimizing existing user journeys through experimentation, analysis, and small but impactful product changes. You will gain exposure across the full user funnel and learn how data and engineering decisions translate into measurable growth.

Job Responsibilities

Experimentation:

Support the design, implementation, and analysis of A/B tests and experiments across the website, onboarding flows, and in-product experiences.

Full-Stack Development:

Assist in writing clean, maintainable code across the stack (e.g., frontend using React.js, backend using Node.js or Python, and databases such as DynamoDB, MariaDB, or MongoDB).

Data Analysis:

Work with the growth and product teams to analyze user behavior, identify drop-off points, and help translate insights into technical or UX improvements. You will gain hands-on experience with SQL and basic data visualization.

Tooling & Automation:

Help integrate growth and analytics tools and build simple automation scripts to improve internal efficiency and data accuracy.

Performance Optimization:

Assist in identifying and resolving performance issues that affect user experience, such as slow page loads or inefficient APIs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering teams to understand growth priorities and support execution across initiatives.

Ownership & Learning:

Take ownership of assigned tasks and small projects, from implementation to measurement, with guidance and mentorship from senior team members.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of web development concepts and at least one programming language (JavaScript, Python, or similar)
  • Familiarity with SQL and working with data, even at a beginner level
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Curiosity, initiative, and comfort working with ambiguity
