Job Description

This is a senior position responsible for the delivery of all applicable strategic programs and projects, including but not limited to:

  • New account implementation.
  • New facility turn ups, facility transfers and facility closures.
  • Expansion projects with existing clients.
  • Corporate and global level program roll outs.
  • Business continuity, crisis management planning, risk management.
  • Coordination and governance of region wide continuous improvement projects.
  • Coordination and governance of Apac's short, medium- and long-term strategic plan in the areas of financial success, operational quality and effectiveness, safety and security.

The role oversees multiple projects in the region from project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control to project closure.

In the program management process, it is essential to execute the knowledge in the global process network across all sites in the region, while having consultations with stakeholders within the region and globally.

Good foresight is important to enable strategic analysis, predicting ahead and comprehensive planning, ensuring cost effective solutions and integration of all sites within the region. Proactive attitude is a crucial factor to resolving impending issues through effective and flexible change management. There will be a high volume of information requiring excellent speed of response to communicate andcoordinate directives and provide management updates of current information.

Beside, the program manager will be required to interface with relevant stake holders including external as well internal customer, and ensuring the timely turn on of all new sites and decommissioning of retired systems.

Excellent project management skills is essential to coordinate with the project managers and operation managers in the region in providing directions and guidance in local project deployment and operational integration within the region, to achieve synergy in learning and sharing of knowledge and experience among all sites.

Essential Functions:

Key point contact with external and internal stakeholders, including customers, global senior leaders, as well as all levels of the APAC organization from operators, to Vice President.

  • Business acumen to ensure Projects profitability, efficiency, and quality goals.
  • Direct project costing and justification of capital expense request.
  • Manage capital expenditure and asset deployment activities related to the assigned projects.
  • Manage customer initiatives as assigned with considerations from all angles.
  • Align organization to embody GXO Worldwide Values.
  • Ensure customer contractual obligations are met / contract compliance in relation to the project implementation.
  • Provide appropriate tools such as project scheduling, action trackers and dash board.
  • Monitor and control of quality service performance and project performance.
  • Sustain LEAN culture.

Scope and Accountability:

Provide leadership in project management ensuring all sites and projects at APAC region are managed within the customer's expectations. Apply broad knowledge to act as a key contributor on complex or critical assignments contributes to the standards around which others will operate and acts as an advisor/coach to mentor other team members at the sites. Develop solutions and execution strategies in complicated or novel situations. Drive the business by influencing decisions through advice, counsel or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. And, ultimately lead towards the core values of the organization.

Qualification Requirements:

Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree &/or above.
  • PMI certification or membership will be advantageous.

Skills:

  • Excellent organization leadership with situation management skill.
  • Inter-discipline skills for interaction of all business aspects in contract discharge, commercial impact, projects and operations management.
  • Program and Project management knowledge associated with recognized knowledge such as PMBOK guideline.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Commercially oriented with financial acumen.
  • Logistics knowledge InTechnology industry.
  • Broad understanding of SCM to appreciate customer's material flow and planning.
  • Strategic Thinking ability, proven implementation results.
  • Superior Customer Relationship management skills.
  • In depth knowledge of enabling technology in logistics and supply chain.
