Job Summary

The Group HR General Manager leads the human resources strategy and operations across all business units, aligning people strategies with organizational goals to drive talent development, culture, compliance, and workforce productivity for sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute group-wide HR strategies aligned with corporate objectives to enhance organizational effectiveness
  • Lead organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives to ensure workforce readiness
  • Drive organizational transformation and change management programs to foster a high-performance culture
  • Oversee recruitment strategies and talent acquisition initiatives across subsidiaries to support business growth
  • Enhance recruitment effectiveness by improving hiring quality and reducing turnaround time
  • Strengthen employer branding and talent attraction initiatives to build a strong talent pipeline
  • Establish and implement talent review and succession planning frameworks to develop leadership pipelines
  • Oversee learning, training, and leadership development programs to build employee capabilities
  • Implement competency frameworks and structured career progression pathways to support talent growth
  • Design and manage performance management systems, including KPIs and appraisal frameworks, to align individual and organizational goals
  • Monitor employee productivity, performance, and engagement levels to support performance improvement initiatives
  • Develop and maintain competitive compensation and benefits structures through salary benchmarking and policy management
  • Oversee payroll governance, incentive schemes, and reward programs to ensure fair and motivating remuneration
  • Manage employee welfare and benefits administration to support workforce wellbeing
  • Maintain positive employee and industrial relations, including union engagement and conflict resolution
  • Oversee disciplinary processes, grievance handling, and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
  • Minimize industrial disputes and organizational legal risks through proactive relations management
  • Oversee HR policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks to standardize processes across the group
  • Ensure effective HRIS administration, payroll accuracy, and employee data management for operational efficiency
  • Lead HR audits, compliance reviews, and governance initiatives to uphold regulatory standards
  • Promote organizational values and strengthen corporate culture through employee engagement surveys and action plans
  • Drive employee retention, satisfaction, and wellbeing initiatives to enhance workforce stability
  • Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and workplace wellness programs to foster an inclusive environment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Master's Degree or professional HR certification
  • Proven experience managing HR functions within multi-business units or group organizations
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, industrial relations, organizational development, and talent management practices
  • Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management capabilities
