Position Summary
This is a newly created and highly visible leadership role established to insource and strengthen the Group Internal Audit function, which was previously supported by an independent professional services firm. The role is responsible for providing independent and objective assurance over governance, risk management, and internal controls across the Group.
The position plays a critical role in strengthening confidence at the Board and Audit Committee level, while partnering with management to enhance operational effectiveness. Key areas of focus include manufacturing operations, inventory management, and R&D cost governance, within a complex and technologydriven environment.
As the senior Internal Audit leader, the role steers the organisation towards strong corporate governance standards. It is accountable for setting the internal audit framework, managing audit resources, and establishing policies and procedures to ensure the effective delivery of riskbased audit plans.
Responsibilities
- Establish and implement the Internal Audit Charter and annual riskbased audit plan for Audit & Risk Committee approval.
- Build and lead a cosourced internal audit model, with a progressive roadmap to develop inhouse capability.
- Provide independent assurance across manufacturing operations, inventory management, supply chain governance, and financial reporting controls.
- Assess governance over R&D investment, project accounting, and cost capitalization.
- Oversee IT General Controls, cybersecurity governance, and ESG reporting controls.
- Integrate internal audit priorities with the Group Enterprise Risk Management framework.
- Oversee whistleblowing and investigation protocols, ensuring independence and confidentiality.
- Present audit findings, insights, and remediation progress to the Audit & Risk Committee.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or Accounting; Certified Accountant preferred.
- CIA or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred; CRMA, CISA, CFE, or OCEG certifications are an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years experience in internal audit, risk management, or related assurance roles at a senior level.
- Prior leadership experience, preferably within an SGX Mainboard or other publicly listed company environment.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and challenge constructively
