As Group Head of Finance, you will be a strategic partner to the CEO, playing a pivotal role in realizing the organization's long-term vision. This position is responsible for architecting a robust and forward-looking finance function that supports growth, financial health, and operational excellence across multiple business units and regions.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Co-Strategist to Drive Long-Term Vision
- Design a performance-driven Finance function that collaborates with leaders to translate corporate vision and strategy into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
- Champion change, foster innovation, and empower teams to deliver impactful results.
2. Steward of Financial Health and Capability
- Develop policies and practices that enhance financial literacy and decision-making across the leadership team.
- Establish and lead a scalable finance structure, nurturing leadership at both corporate and operational levels.
3. Forward-Looking Innovator
- Lead digital transformation of finance processes, integrating automation and emerging technologies.
- Build a high-performance finance team, instilling a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy: Align financial strategy with corporate goals. Ensure financial planning supports long-term success.
- Budgeting & Planning: Lead the annual and rolling three-year budgeting process. Utilize modeling and scenario analysis to support decision-making.
- Capital Allocation: Strategically allocate financial and human resources to optimize ROI and support growth.
- Cash & Liquidity Management: Oversee cash flows and develop strategies to meet funding needs and support investments.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks through robust assessment and control mechanisms.
- Performance Measurement: Define and track financial KPIs, offering insights and direction for improvement.
- Reporting & Analysis: Deliver timely and insightful reports for management and board-level decision-making. Support M&A and strategic initiatives through in-depth analysis.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary finance advisor to executive leadership and the board. Cultivate productive relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, regulators, and financial institutions.
Key Deliverables & Activities
- Annual and 3-Year Budget Management
- Monthly Financial and Business Reviews
- Quarterly and Annual Group Meetings (conducted in Chinese for China and English for Southeast Asia)
- Strategic Reviews of Operating Business Units
- Risk Management and Mitigation Reporting
- Participation in Cross-Functional Projects and Strategic Initiatives
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years leading finance functions at regional or group level, with experience across China and Southeast Asia
- Proven leadership in people development (minimum 10 years)
- Exposure to operational or commercial functions outside finance is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and ACCA qualification required Master's degree preferred
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese (spoken and written)
