Group Finance Director (Global MNC)
We are currently partnering to hire a solid business finance partner who has able commercial acumen coupled with strong controls and governance exposure.
Our client is a global MNC and has its HQ in Singapore. The ideal candidate will be working closely with operating companies to drive growth, strategic initiatives and controls related work and at the same time deal with group level activities.
Extensive travelling to Vietnam may be required.
You will be reporting into the group CFO and work closely with the CEO of the operating companies.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across regional operations
- Partner closely with country and business leaders to drive performance tracking and decision support
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, investments, and expansion plans
- Provide insights on revenue, cost optimisation, and key business drivers
Business Partnering
- Act as a key finance partner to operational teams, particularly in Vietnam
- Translate financial data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders
- Support commercial decision-making, pricing strategies, and investment evaluations
Internal Controls & Governance
- Design, implement, and enhance internal control frameworks across entities
- Strengthen financial governance, policies, and compliance processes
- Work closely with internal and external auditors to ensure robust audit readiness
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and reporting standards
Regional Exposure
- Support cross-border operations
- Travel regularly to engage with local finance and operational teams
- Ensure alignment of financial practices across markets
Key Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in FP&A, finance business partnering, controllership with global experience.
- Background in Big 4 audit or professionally qualified (CA/CPA/ACCA) is a must
- Experience driving business growth, strategic initiatives at the ground level will be a key.
- Strong exposure to internal controls, governance, or audit frameworks
- Proven ability to operate in a regional or multi-country setup
- Experience working with or covering Vietnam is highly preferred
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
