Group Finance Controller

Job Description

• Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer to contribute to the financial strategy of the business and decision-making process at a Group level.
• Responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of the Finance Department.
• Ensure timely delivery of financial and management reporting of group consolidation, cash flow, budget and forecast.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the Groups stakeholders and board members.
• Liaise with external auditors for yearly audit and issuance of financial statements; bankers and tax consultants if required.
• Lead and manage a small team of Finance staff; streamline accounting functions and operations.
• Oversee the training and development of the Finance team to ensure each level of staff can perform their tasks at an optimal level.
• Manage and improve internal controls, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification
• Minimum 810 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles
• At least 3 years in a senior leadership role, preferably as Finance Director, Financial Controller, or equivalent

Proven experience in:

• Financial strategy and planning
• Risk management and internal controls
• Financial reporting and compliance (local and international standards, e.g., IFRS/GAAP)
• Treasury and cash flow management
• Managing external audits, tax planning, and regulatory requirements
