Summary: This role reports to the CFO and acts as his/her Deputy. As the Group Controller, you are responsible for overseeing the Group's financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls across all entities. The role ensures the integrity of financial information, drives standardization and efficiency across finance operations, and supports strategic decision-making at the Group level, while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
In addition, the role has overall responsibility for the Accounts Payable (AP) function, ensuring robust procure-to-pay processes, strong cash discipline, and a well-controlled payment environment across the organization.

Indirect Report: Oversight of financial reporting, controls for the Family Office activities, ensuring alignment with Group policies and governance frameworks

Role and Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Lead the Group's monthly and annual closing processes.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial reporting across all entities.
- Review key balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting quality, including automation, standardization, and analytics.
Accounting Governance & Internal Controls
- Establish and maintain strong accounting policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.
- Lead audit processes (external and internal), including coordination with auditors and resolution of audit findings.
- Strengthen financial governance across regions with standardized processes.
- Act as a key pillar in safeguarding the organization against financial, operational, and fraud risks.
Accounts Payable Oversight
- Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Payable function, including invoice processing, approvals, payments, and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments while maintaining adherence to internal controls and policies.
- Monitor AP KPIs (e.g., aging, payment cycle times, exception rates) and drive performance improvements.
- Ensure strong vendor management practices and effective resolution of disputes.
- Oversee AP systems and support automation/digitalization initiatives to improve efficiency and control.
- Implement and standardize procurement-to-pay processes across the Group.
Team Leadership & Organization
- Lead and develop the Group accounting and AP teams.
- Establish clear roles, responsibilities, KPIs, and performance expectations.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop team members to build bench strength and succession planning.
Systems & Process Optimization
- Drive finance transformation initiatives, including ERP enhancements and automation of accounting and AP processes.
- Ensure proper integration between finance, procurement, and payment platforms.
- Identify opportunities for standardization and cost efficiencies across finance operations.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key business partner to senior management, providing insights on financial performance and risks.
- Work closely with Treasury, Tax, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment across functions.
- Support strategic initiatives, including expansion into new markets, investments, or restructuring.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CA preferred with a min of 15 years of total accounting experience, some of which is gained with MNCs.
- Significant experience in group reporting and multi-entity consolidation. Financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal control is also relevant
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS or equivalent).
- Proven experience managing AP or shared service functions is highly desirable.
- Strong systems knowledge (ERP, AP automation tools) such as SAP S4 Hana.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- High attention to detail and a control mindset.
- Process-driven with a focus on efficiency and automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, international environment.
