Job Overview
Assisting Principal / Vice-Principals to support operations and provide pedagogical leadership across the programme, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality teaching and learning experiences aligned with the school's philosophy, curriculum frameworks and regulations.
Primary Function
- Responsible for ensuring proper implementation of best practices through quality and innovative curriculum and programmes through constant observation, sharing and mentoring of staff of respective section (4-6 year olds)
- Responsible for providing support to ensure smooth implementation of stakeholder partnerships and the operational aspects of the centre.
- Responsible for supporting the monitoring and ensuring of ethical policies and practices related to licensing and accreditation, and other governing bodies.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. School Sustainability & Viability
- Generate monthly income through recruitment and retention of children enrolled in school.
- Assists with managing of school's assets and resources to maximize efficiency and profitability
2. Operational Support
- Ensures that staff-child ratios are met across all age groups.
- Oversees class administration, including central and class attendance records, children's medication records, weekly menus and weekly activity plans.
- Ensures that school cleanliness adheres to Environmental Control Coordinator (ECC)requirements and that food is prepared and handled appropriately.
- Monitors the condition, availability and proper maintenance of learning resources and materials across the school.
3. Pedagogical Leadership
- Lead the planning, implementation and continuous enhancement of the Kindergarten curriculum.
- Ensure high-quality teaching practices that align with the school's educational philosophy, inquiry approach and curriculum frameworks.
- Coach and mentor educators through observations, feedback conversations, modelling of effective teaching practices and reflective discussions.
- Support educators in differentiated teaching, assessment for learning and intentional planning to meet diverse learning needs.
- Promote consistent implementation of curriculum documentation and assessment.
- Analyse children's learning outcomes and programme effectiveness to identify areas for improvement.
4. Programme Quality & Compliance
- Monitor programme quality to ensure alignment with ECDA requirements, SPARK standards and the school's internal expectations.
- Ensure teaching documentation, observations, assessments and portfolios are maintained to a high standard.
- Support quality assurance processes, internal audits and programme reviews.
- Ensure classroom practices comply with school policies, health and safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with Principal/Vice-Principals to implement improvement initiatives arising from audits, evaluations or strategic priorities.
- Performs teaching duties when needed
5. Staff Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with the leadership team to achieve the school's strategic goals.
- Support whole-school initiatives, curriculum projects and innovation.
- Contribute to policy development, programme evaluation and continuous improvement.
- Model professional conduct and uphold the school's Lasallian values and culture.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the Principal or Vice Principals.
6. Family Partnerships
- Build strong, respectful partnerships with families regarding children's learning and development.
- Support educators in conducting high-quality parent conferences and learning conversations.
- Work collaboratively with families to address learning needs and transition planning.
- Lead parent engagement initiatives, workshops and school events.
7. Kindergarten Transition & School Partnerships
- Lead initiatives that support children's successful transition from preschool into primary education.
- Establish and strengthen partnerships with local and international elementary schools to facilitate continuity of learning.
- Coordinate transition programmes, school visits, parent information sessions and collaborative projects where appropriate.
- Support families in understanding primary school readiness and transition expectations.
- Keep abreast of developments in local and international primary education to ensure Kindergarten programmes remain responsive and relevant.
8. Supports collaboration with community partnerships, student internships and research projects (internal and external) and other authorised persons regarding student or visitor observations and visits.
9. Promotes SJI International Preschool's social mission and objectives through the activities of the school in reaching out to the children, parents and community.
10. Implements SJI International Preschool's Shared Vision and Mission in motivating staff and leading by example.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned by Principal and/or SJI International Preschool Board of Governors.

Requirements
- Degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Early Childhood Education (preferred) and/or Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Centre Leadership (ADECL)
- A minimum of 6 years teaching experience with Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) L2 certification, including extensive teaching experience.
- Has experience in mentoring or leading educators to improve teaching and learning practices.
- Strong knowledge of child development, inquiry-based learning, curriculum planning and assessment.
- Able to commit to a full-time position with 9.5 hours shifts daily (including an hour's lunch)

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and educational technology platforms
