Job Roles & Responsibilities:
- Plan and prioritize work, monitor course conditions and worker productivity, implement training and keep records.Develop alternate plans adaptable to changing conditions.
- Roster course maintenance staff and supervise work being carried out to achieve the highest course maintenance standards.
- Inspection of the course condition on a daily basis and preparing weekly miscellaneous works summary for action to be carried out.
- Supervise the preparation of courses for major tournaments.
- Ensure the fertilizers, insecticides and fungicides are stocked according to the requirements of the tasks and that they are stored correctly in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with maintenance supervisors on the upkeep of course maintenance equipment.
- Perform physical check on the condition of the course equipment on a weekly basis and prepare repair request as and when necessary. Propose for the acquisition of course maintenance equipment.
- Maintain and submit staff records such as attendance, overtime, medical etc.
- Attend monthly Greens Sub-Committee and Staff meetings.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual course maintenance expenses budget.
- Plan, design and maintain all landscape and horticultural work involved within the Club premises.
- Supervise tree planting projects and any other projects as assigned by the Greens Sub-Committee.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the Senior Golfing Manager from time to time.
Requirements:
- A recognized Diploma/Degree in Turf Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years related experience in a supervisory role in golf course maintenance or turf-related field.
- Knowledge of golf play, course design and turf management.
- An eye for detail to ensure quality control for tasks and a highly motivated, quality driven and results-oriented individual.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Positive attitude towards fostering teamwork among associates in a support role.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written.
- Able to commence within short notice will be an added advantage.
