The Go Kart Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of concession Go-Karts under the direction of the Operations Manager and Ride Manager. He / She is required to have a good understanding of electrical components and mechanical systems of a concession Go Kart and be hands on in ensuring that the highest serviceability levels are achieved.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performing daily safety, mechanical, electrical, and quality assurance checks on the multiple concession Go Karts of the attraction to the highest standards of safety and according to the local and international standards.
- Performing daily safety checks of the track and conducting repairs to safety critical equipment / infrastructure as required to maintain track serviceability.
- Troubleshooting on-the-spot problems and repair requirements as per the manufacturer's recommendations.
- Assisting with overall attraction maintenance, rebuilds, or enhancement works as required.
- Inspecting and performing minor repairs of all attraction equipment, safety gear, and track elements.
- Have excellent communication skills, able to work unassisted, and have excellent problem-solving abilities to meet customer needs.
- Full training will be given in all areas of the role.
- Assisting the Operations Manager / Ride Manager with the attraction operations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Applicants must be mechanically inclined with the proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and have experience utilising basic hand tools and special repair equipment in the workplace.
- Previous experience with mechanics such as hydraulic disc brakes, precision measuring tools, and electrical equipment components will be an advantage.
- Previous mechanical or repair experience with DC electronics, Go Karts, or similar equipment (buggy, go-karts, car repairs, powered bikes, off-road vehicles, etc.) is a definite asset for the role.
- The ability to work independently as well as take direction from the Operations Manager / Ride Manager.
- Problem-solving skills, with great attention to safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work with a variety of environmental factors, including heat, noise, and flashing lights, and must be able to lift up to 30 kgs.
Terms of Employment:
- This is a full-time position that requires flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a varied and rotational schedule.
