About the Company

We are a growing and well-established food manufacturing business specializing in bakery and frozen food products. With a strong presence in the market and ambitious expansion plans, we are seeking a commercially driven and operationally strong General Manager to lead the business into its next phase of growth.

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on and strategic General Manager to oversee the company's overall business operations, commercial growth, manufacturing performance, and organizational leadership.

This role requires a dynamic leader who can balance operational excellence with commercial growth initiatives while driving profitability, efficiency, product innovation, and team performance. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and lead cross-functional teams across production, supply chain, sales & marketing, finance, and corporate functions.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience within food manufacturing, bakery, frozen food, FMCG, or related industries, combined with proven P&L ownership and the ability to scale business operations within a competitive market environment.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Growth

• Drive overall business strategy and execution aligned with company objectives

• Identify opportunities for revenue growth, market expansion, and product innovation

• Develop and execute strategic business plans, budgets, and operational KPIs

• Lead initiatives to improve profitability, operational scalability, and market positioning

• Support long-term organizational growth and transformation initiatives

Operations & Manufacturing Management

• Oversee end-to-end manufacturing and operational activities

• Ensure operational efficiency, production quality, and on-time delivery performance

• Strengthen supply chain, inventory management, procurement, and production planning capabilities

• Implement process improvements and operational best practices

• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Financial & Commercial Leadership

• Own and manage full P&L responsibility for the business

• Monitor financial performance and implement data-driven improvements

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategy, and cost optimization initiatives

• Drive sustainable revenue growth and margin improvement

• Work closely with sales and marketing teams to strengthen customer relationships and expand market share

Leadership & People Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across functions

• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

• Oversee talent acquisition, succession planning, and performance management

• Build strong internal alignment across operational and commercial teams

Governance, Compliance & Risk

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and internal governance requirements

• Maintain high standards in food safety, workplace safety, and operational risk management

• Oversee audits, documentation, and compliance processes

• Ensure adherence to relevant food manufacturing and quality standards including HACCP and local food regulations

Requirements

Experience & Background

• Proven experience in a General Manager, Operations Director, Business Head, or similar leadership role

• Strong background in food manufacturing, bakery, frozen food, FMCG, or related industries

• Demonstrated success managing business operations and full P&L responsibility

• Experience driving operational improvements, business growth, and commercial performance

• Familiarity with food safety and regulatory compliance standards

• Experience managing cross-functional teams within a manufacturing environment
