SummaryInternational Trade and Transaction Banking (ITB) is one of the key financing activities of CACIB. The main goal of ITB is to support Corporate and Financial Institution clients in their day-to-day and working capital optimization needs.
ITB covers more than 40 geographies globally and has a dedicated set-up in Singapore. ITB includes several product lines: Global Trade & Commodities, Cash Management and Export Finance.
Within ITB, Global Trade & Commodities (GTC) provides short to medium term trade facilities and financing solutions to CACIB's clients in order to optimize their working capital requirements.
We are hiring a trainee to join the GTC Singapore Team. He/She will be assisting the GTC Originators in the development of the Singapore portfolio and will be required to assist in the preparation of pitches, attend client meetings, write call memos, conduct market research / due diligence, prepare internal and external proposals, assist with various presentations / reporting, support selected transaction execution. It is a one-year contract role as a start, and is extendable for another year based on performance.
Main ResponsibilitiesOrigination and Portfolio DevelopmentAssist the GTC Originators in handling an existing portfolio and prospecting for new clients.Contribute to due diligence on clients and prospects, conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities.Propose initial transaction structures and pricing simulations for client discussions.Prepare and participate in pitches, draft term sheets, write call memos.Write early birds and executive summary documents for credit applications, join credit committees when required.Proactively keep up to date on clients activities and markets developments.
Portfolio ManagementSupport the management on various presentations / periodic reporting / projects when required.
Complies with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirementsMaintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role.Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.Be aware of the main regulations and guidelines by local regulators related to this function, especially the regulations linked to sanctions risks, and take reasonable steps and actions to contribute to the fraud prevention and AML control.
Role RequirementsWe are looking for someone highly driven and detailed-oriented in all tasks. He/She has a curious mind, is proactive with a good learning attitude, and possess strong motivation to build a successful career in the banking sector.
Previous experience in banking / trade finance / commodity finance would be a plus.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) are required as well as strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. The candidate must be a team player.
Fluency in English and Mandarin (oral and written) and strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required.
