We are seeking a Global SAP Key User to support our worldwide Sales & Distribution operations, with future involvement in Finance and Controlling functions. This is a strategic expert role for someone who enjoys solving complex business challenges, driving process improvements, and acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as the global subject matter expert for SAP SD and, over time, SAP FI/CO
- Support and resolve complex business and system-related issues across global operations
- Collaborate closely with business users and IT teams to translate requirements into sustainable solutions
- Ensure master data integrity, compliance, and governance across SAP processes
- Analyze, document, stabilize, and improve business processes in a highly customized SAP landscape
- Develop user guides, process documentation, and training materials
- Participate in testing, enhancements, and global SAP rollout initiatives
- Build deep expertise in cross-functional business processes and system dependencies
What Makes This Role Different This is not a plug-and-play position.
- Our SAP environment has evolved over many years and includes highly customized processes, internal governance frameworks, and complex business rules. A comprehensive onboarding period of approximately six months is expected to develop the knowledge required to operate independently and deliver long-term value.
- We are looking for someone who is willing to invest time in learning, embrace complexity, and take ownership of improving existing processes rather than simply following standard SAP methodologies.
Required Experience
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience as an SAP Key User, Business Process Owner, Process Specialist or comparable role covering SD and/or FI/CO.
- Proven experience with complex, non-standard SAP process landscapes rather than greenfield or template-driven implementations.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end business processes across Sales, Finance, and Controlling.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to trace issues across modules, organizational units, and systems.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex SAP matters to non-technical stakeholders.
- High level of persistence, structure, and discipline in documentation and process clarification.
- Ability to operate independently in a global, matrix-driven organization.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori.
- SAP SD and/or FI/CO certifications.
- Experience in documenting and stabilizing historically grown processes.
