Job Description

Role Purpose (Why do we need this role)

The Global Revenue Analyst drives commercial growth by improving pricing strategies, identifying new revenue opportunities, and ensuring accurate, actionable data for the Market Team. This role sits at the center of pricing and revenue decisions, helping the business recover costs, grow income, and stay competitive in a fast-moving market. The role is also central to standardization of activities for the Market team.

Role Accountabilities (What is this role responsible for delivering)

Revenue Initiatives

  • Develop new surcharges to grow revenue, including equipment fees and value-added services.
  • Review and update local and ancillary surcharges to ensure costs are recovered accurately and on time.
  • Support the Global Market Manager in launching pricing strategies like Peak Season Surcharges and General Rate Increases.
  • Contribute to special projects focused on pricing innovation and commercial growth.

Revenue Management

  • Own and improve the Contribution Calculator tool, working with BI, Digital and Operations teams.
  • Manage cost and revenue data uploads to maintain accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Detention and front-line sales to define SSLs detention commercial strategy, including tariff-free days and per-day charges.
  • Deliver key revenue reports such as: Monthly SOB Report, Strike Rate Report, Competitor Profiling
  • Proactively monitor competitor network changes, surcharge updates, and pricing behavior, escalating material developments to stakeholders.
  • Work with the capacity team on yield management tasks, including cargo mix optimization and last-to-load list planning.

Revenue Execution

  • Lead the Bangalore-based Pricing Analysts team to ensure:
  • Accurate rate execution within delegated authority and target turnaround times.
  • Proper formatting and system updates for Trade Notices and MRG changes.
  • Oversee updates to Trade Notices and MRG changes.
  • Support forecasting efforts by providing insights on average rate and volume inputs and analysing F0F3 outputs to guide strategic planning.
  • Create Market Insights reports covering pricing strategy and sales performance.
  • Consistently identify process standardization opportunities across the Markets team and establish a standard process between Markets and SDC teams

Key Qualifications & Skills (What knowledge will ensure success in the role)

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with 2 years in pricing or commercial strategy.

Professional Skills

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
  • Skilled negotiator with a strategic mindset.
  • Highly adaptable and responsive to market changes.
  • Good understanding of global markets and commercial dynamics.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel: Expertise in financial modeling, pivot tables, and data visualization.
  • Market Research: Ability to analyze competitive landscapes and market trends.
  • BI Tools: Proficiency in Power BI, or equivalent platforms.
