Role Overview

The Global PR Manager will lead the firm's external communications strategy with a defensive focus. The role is centered on safeguarding reputation, managing sensitive narratives, and ensuring alignment with regulatory and government stakeholders. This highly visible position works closely with senior leadership to manage media relations, government affairs, and thought leadership content, while ensuring consistent messaging across global markets. The ideal candidate will bring strategic thinking, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in business-level Chinese to engage with Asia-based institutions and family offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead hands-on public relations and external communications initiatives, including website revamps, campaign management, content creation, and corporate storytelling.
  • Lead defensive-focused public relations and external communications initiatives, including reputation management, corporate messaging, and stakeholder engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with media, government agencies, regulators, and industry stakeholders to enhance credibility and manage risk
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, investor relations, HR, investment teams) to ensure consistent messaging and highlight compelling success stories
  • Support government relations activities, including policy monitoring, regulatory engagement, and liaison with relevant authorities
  • Monitor and evaluate media coverage, campaign performance, and PR impact, providing insights to leadership and suggesting improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.
  • 8 - 12 years of relevant experience in public relations, communications, or media-experience in finance, tech, or corporate communications preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional storytelling and writing skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial or investment topics.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing global communications strategies.
  • Strategic thinker with a global mindset, cultural awareness, and strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and international environment.
  • Business-level proficiency of English and Chinese is required
