About the Role
We are looking for a visionary Global HR Director to partner directly with the business head and CEO in building the next generation of an AI-native global education company.
Beyond leading Human Resources, this role is responsible for shaping how the organization evolves-designing scalable operating models, developing leadership capability, building future-ready talent systems, and enabling AI-driven organizational transformation.
As the company expands globally, this leader will architect the people strategy that connects business growth, organizational effectiveness, AI capability, and educational excellence across China, Singapore, and international markets.
The ideal candidate is not simply an HR leader, but an Organization Development strategist who understands how high-performing organizations are built, transformed, and continuously evolved.
Key Responsibilities
1. Organization Development & AI Transformation
- Design scalable organizational structures and operating models that support rapid global growth and AI-native ways of working.
- Lead enterprise-wide organization design, workforce transformation, and change management initiatives.
- Build AI-enabled organizational capabilities, embedding AI into workflows, decision-making and employee productivity.
- Drive organizational agility through continuous redesign of roles, team structures, and collaboration models.
- Partner with business leaders to improve organizational effectiveness, execution speed and innovation capability.
2. Global Talent Strategy & Leadership Development
- Build an integrated global talent strategy covering executive hiring, succession planning, leadership development and internal mobility.
- Design leadership competency frameworks for business, technical and educational leaders.
- Establish robust succession planning and talent review processes to ensure sustainable leadership pipelines.
- Develop future leadership capability through coaching, assessment, learning programs and career architecture.
- Position the company as an employer of choice for world-class AI, education and technology talent.
3. Learning Organization & Capability Building
- Build a continuous learning culture that enables employees to thrive in an AI-native organization.
- Design enterprise learning strategies covering leadership, AI literacy, digital capability, and management excellence.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Academic teams to strengthen organizational capability across technical and educational functions.
- Introduce AI-powered learning solutions, personalized development journeys, and skills intelligence platforms.
- Establish competency frameworks and career pathways that support long-term organizational capability.
4. Culture, Organizational Effectiveness & Employee Experience
- Shape a high-performance, ownership-driven and mission-oriented culture aligned with the company's educational vision.
- Build organizational mechanisms that encourage innovation, experimentation and cross-functional collaboration.
- Improve employee engagement through data-driven people insights and continuous feedback systems.
- Strengthen cross-cultural collaboration across China, Singapore and global teams.
- Foster an environment where AI augments human capability while preserving strong leadership, creativity and learning.
5. Workforce Planning, Performance & Rewards
- Lead strategic workforce planning aligned with business priorities and long-term organizational capability.
- Develop people analytics, productivity metrics and workforce intelligence to improve organizational performance.
- Design modern performance management systems focused on continuous feedback, growth and business outcomes.
- Build competitive compensation, recognition and long-term incentive programs aligned with global talent markets.
- Optimize organizational productivity while balancing employee experience and sustainable growth.
6. Global HR Governance & Business Partnership
- Lead HR teams across multiple regions while elevating HRBP capability into strategic business partners.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and workforce regulations across global markets.
- Build scalable HR operating models, governance frameworks and people processes that support international expansion.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on organizational health, capability gaps and long-term workforce strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, Education, Management or related disciplines.
- 8-10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience with significant exposure to Organization Development and enterprise transformation.
- Proven experience leading organizational design, large-scale change management or business transformation initiatives.
- Experience within AI, technology, digital education, SaaS or fast-scaling global organizations is highly preferred.
- Strong track record building leadership capability, succession planning and enterprise talent strategies.
- Experience partnering directly with CEOs or executive leadership teams on organizational strategy.
- Hands-on experience leading multinational HR teams across China, Singapore and international markets.
- Able to speak mandarin as you will be communicating with Chinese stakeholders.
