The Global Head of Project Procurement plays a pivotal role in ensuring that procurement activities within projects are executed efficiently, timely, and in alignment with strategic goals. Acting as a strategic interface between R&D, Operations, Product Management, Quality, and Commodity Management, this role ensures that key sourcing deliverables in projects - such as supplier readiness, cost optimization, and timely material availability - are met.

This role leads continuous improvement initiatives across global procurement processes to enhance operational excellence and ensure regulatory compliance throughout all procurement activities. This role requires close collaboration and alignment with Danaher Business System (DBS) representatives to ensure that all process enhancements and system developments are fully consistent with DBS principles and strategic direction.

This position reports to the Director Global Direct Sourcing and will be an on-site role in Singapore.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and develop the Project Procurement team, fostering a culture aligned with Danaher core values
  • Ensure all projects are aligned with organizational goals, strategic priorities as well as commodity and supplier strategies, translating high-level business objectives into actionable plans.
  • Enforce project management standards, tools, and methodologies while ensuring compliance with internal processes and external regulations.
  • Oversee the entire project portfolio by monitoring progress, prioritizing based on impact and urgency, and managing resources effectively.
  • Drive cost optimization, maximize value delivery, and provide clear, proactive communication to stakeholders and peers on status, risks, and financial performance.
  • Drive the design, standardization, and continuous improvement of end-to-end procurement processes to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and efficiency through automation, governance, and data integrity.

The essential requirements of the job include

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Over 10 years of expertise in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain within manufacturing environments, including 5+ years in leadership roles
  • Demonstrated success in advanced project management and driving strategic initiatives
  • Proven track record of implementing continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Fluent in English (negotiation level)

Travel requirements:

  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 20%).

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Industry experience in medical devices or high-precision instruments in a high-mix low-volume (HMLV) manufacturing environment
  • SAP, e-procurement tools, and Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI.
  • stakeholder management in a matrixed, multinational organization.
