Overview / Responsibilities
The Global Facilities Project Engineer is responsible for developing a comprehensive construction roadmap to achieve long-term Micron goals. The role will be managing and supporting Micron construction projects from inception to closeout, including project scoping, pre-planning, design, client/ contractor/ vendor coordination, construction administration, budget management, and project closeout.
Responsibility includes managing & improving the new project planning business process. Gathering, analyzing & benchmarking Micron's current manufacturing sites & construction projects, and providing accurate & timely information to the project team.

Lead and manage the new construction project planning process.
Establish project objectives, scope and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
and ensuring alignment with user requirements.
Prepare new project Space, Cost & schedule report & long-term plan reports for management review.
Develop and manage initial project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery.
Maintain effective communication with project team members and respective stakeholders to provide project updates/ reporting, address concerns and foster strong working relationships between team members.
Ensure Roles, Responsibilities and Accountabilities are fully understood by the project team members.
Collect, classify, and evaluate data and information used in supporting the Micron new construction project planning evaluation request.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from a recognised institute of higher learning.
Experience in Project Program management / Planning / Schedule Control is highly valued.
Minimum 3 years experience in project management.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Construction Project management software, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Good analytical skills with problem solving aptitude.
Ability to integrate, work collaboratively and proactively in a team environment.
Able to complete projects in a timely manner.
Relevant professional certification in project management or construction management, like Project Management Professional (PMP) or LEED certification.
Minimum Experience & Skills:
3 years experience in large-scale construction projects, preferably in Semiconductor Fab construction or related Facilities construction in high tech/ Pharmaceutical/ Oil & Gas industries.
Demonstrable experience in the Construction or Semiconductor Project Management and/or other relevant industries is strongly preferred.
Strong financial understanding and experience in project cost estimate/ budgeting/ cost control.
Proven track record of successful project delivery.
Knowledge of local construction regulations, permits and approval processes will be highly valued.
Strong communication skills.
Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to visualize issues and communicate them clearly to others.
Strong organization, coordination, and leadership skills - ability to coordinate and motivate stakeholders from different departments and background.
Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and proactively in a team environment.
