The company has a significant presence in Asia in terms of its reputable market position in developing best-in-class supply chain and procurement management capabilities and takes pride in ensuring optimized regional activities to achieve maximized customer satisfaction.
They are currently on an active look out for a suitable candidate as a Global Commodity Manager (PCB & Electrical), who is the critical point of contact in terms of ensuring smooth supplier and customer contracts management in a complex and high volume manufacturing environment for Singapore and beyond.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Global VP of Commodity Management based in the USA, and this position will be focusing on the below:
- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for PCB and related electrical/automation components.
- Identify and qualify global suppliers for seamless automation and integration of Automotive or Industrial Robotics solutions.
- Lead strategic supplier negotiations, contracts, and commercial agreements.
- Build long-term partnerships with automation integrators, machine builders, and equipment manufacturers to optimally support business expansion, including that of identifying opportunities to drive supplier consolidation, cost reduction, and value engineering initiatives.
- Lead cost benchmarking, should-cost analysis, and total cost of ownership evaluation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate Profile
Singapore • Permanent
- Bachelor's Degree with at least 7-10 years of relevant experience in end-to-end Supply Chain or Engineering Management experiences in a complex and high volume Precision Manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in acquired solution-oriented mind set to deal with complex and matrix organizational framework.
- Excellent hands-on experience and knowledge in driving Procurement and Supply Chain Excellence.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to relay and/or drive process improvements across a global organization to regional/ global stakeholders involved.
- Good understanding of SAP and equivalent ERP system is highly preferred
