Job Description

Overview

Our client is an industry leading US listed MNC in expansion phase.

They are currently on the lookout to recruit for an Strategic Procurement professional with experience managing IT spend (software, hardware, and services) with regional/global experience.

Full-time, permanent, newly created role
Reporting to Global Director (based in Singapore)
5-days in office (North-East Singapore)

At this position you will be responsible for the IT category strategy from development and design stage all the way to implementation, execution, and performance tracking for continuous improvement. As well as contract and supplier management responsibilities.

You will be expected to drive and implement best procurement practices across the relevant stakeholders across the globe to ensure alignment & compliance of the procurement process to achieve cost avoidance, service/reliability , and TCO metrics.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering would be ideal (or ability to demonstrate technical knowledge in the IT field)
At least 5 years of experience in regional/global category management role (strategic procurement role, not focused on operational/purchasing activities) for a wide broad of IT subcategories/spends (services: broadband, IT maintenance, cyber-security, consulting + hardware: laptops, printers, other IT equipment + software: licenses like MS-office packages, machinery IT, ERP, data analytics, other functional tools and applications, cyber-security, etc.) must have
Professionals with experience in manufacturing sector (physical goods: semicon/electronics) would be preferred
Experienced in end-to-end Supplier Management cycle (spend analysis, vendor review, sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, onboarding, supplier development: performance tracking and improvement)
