Our client is one of the renowned auotmotive technology leader. We are seeking a high-caliber Category Director to lead the global sourcing and portfolio strategy for one of the most critical segments in the automotive world: Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and Discrete Semiconductors.

about the job

• Global Category Leadership: Architect and execute comprehensive global strategies for PCB and Discrete component portfolios, ensuring full alignment with corporate growth, margin, and market-share objectives.

• Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation: Orchestrate a world-class supplier ecosystem. You will lead high-stakes contract negotiations and manage end-to-end supplier performance to guarantee uncompromised quality, cost-competitiveness, and supply chain precision.

• Market Intelligence & Risk Resilience: Serve as the definitive internal authority on electronics market dynamics, leveraging data analytics to anticipate global shifts and proactively neutralize supply chain risks.

• Cross-Functional Synergy: Act as a strategic partner to Engineering and Product Development teams, integrating category roadmaps into the core of next-generation product innovation.

• Value Transformation: Spearhead Design-for-Value (DfV) initiatives, value engineering, and continuous improvement projects to aggressively optimize cost structures while enhancing product performance.

• Executive Reporting: Define and monitor rigorous performance KPIs, providing the C-suite with transparent, data-backed insights into category health and strategic progress.

skills and experience required

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain, with a focus on PCB and Discrete components.
