The Company

My client is a Singapore-headquartered SME with a global footprint, encompassing manufacturing, cross-border trading, and sales and distribution activities.

The ability to be hands-on and operate effectively in an unstructured SME environment, while navigating ambiguities, will be essential.

Requirements

- Degree and CA/CPA qualified

- 10-12 years of relevant Finance & Accounting experience in the commercial sector

- Regional exposure - full spectrum Finance experience (including group consolidation, cashflow management, tax and business partnering with senior management)

- Team management experience required

- Highly hands-on, able to roll up sleeves, entrepreneurial, reliable, driven, resourceful, flexible and able to work with ambiguities

- Experience in manufacturing and/or import-export business can be helpful

- Experience in Finance process improvement, alignment across countries

- Experience with joint venture/ M&A activities - work closely with CEO, providing advice on business expansion & investment matters

- Willingness to travel to emerging markets as part of the role (10-20%)

Job Scope

As the Group Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial management and reporting across global entities. This includes financial accounting, reporting, consolidation of group accounts, working closely with external auditors and maintain compliance across various jurisdictions in which the business operates. You will lead budgeting cycle and forecasting exercises, monitor financial performance and provide analysis to support management decision-making.

This role will oversee treasury and working capital management at a group level, including cash flow planning, banking relationships, credit facilities, and foreign exchange exposure. Partnering closely with commercial and operational teams, you will help ensure prudent management of receivables, inventory, and funding requirements to support business growth. You will also be responsible for tax and intercompany requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations and transfer pricing guidelines across the regions. You will provide financial insights to support business initiatives such as market expansion, new entity set-ups, and other M&A/JV projects.

From a governance perspective, you will be responsible for maintaining strong financial controls, policies and processes across entities, while identifying potential financial and operational risks and implementing appropriate safeguards. You will also proactively monitor and drive improvements in financial systems and accounting processes to enhance efficiency and transparency.
