My client is an established player in its industry with global presence, keen to hire a detailed, proactive and driven finance talent with strong IFRS technical knowledge to oversee a finance controllership portfolio. Shipping industry exposure is mandatory.

Budget
SGD 15,000 - 16,000 per month + Bonus

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy with at least 12 years of relevant experience in Big 4 and large MNCs.
• Mandatory: Prior Big 4 background and exposure to Shipping industry (understanding of Maritime industry & the applicable accounting standards)
• Strong IFRS technical knowledge
• Strong experience in financial controlling/ reporting, audit, tax and compliance.
• Strong leadership experience
• Traits: Detailed, good work ethics, reliable, driven, diligent, proactive, team player, good planning skills, good communication skills.

Job Scope

As the Financial Controller, you will oversee the Group Finance and Controllership function which includes financial and management reporting, financial governance, review of consolidated financial statements, compliance, audit and tax. You will monitor, identify and evaluate accounting and tax implications of the business decisions and any changes in regulatory requirements. You will also support and partner commercial and operations stakeholders in understanding business drivers and track performance against budgets. In addition, you will be responsible for driving strong internal controls and policy governance, and ensure timely, accurate and quality reporting.
