General Manager – Waste Treatment Operations

Role Overview

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of waste treatment operations, including collection, processing, disposal, and recycling activities. You will drive operational efficiency, ensure compliance with environmental standards, and lead initiatives that enhance both performance and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across waste treatment facilities, ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant processes

• Develop and execute strategies to improve operational performance, reduce costs, and drive business growth

• Oversee waste collection, transportation, processing, and disposal workflows to ensure optimal efficiency

• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives

• Establish and track KPIs to monitor operational and commercial success

• Ensure full compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards

• Drive sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and recycling improvements

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

• Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to all workplace health and safety protocols

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across multiple functions

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align operational strategies with business objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related discipline (Master's preferred)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in waste management or related industries

• Transport is required as this role required frequently heading outdoor for meeting.

• Strong understanding of waste treatment processes, environmental regulations, and sustainability practices

• Proven track record in managing operations, budgets, and team performance

• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities

• Relevant certifications in waste management or environmental practices will be an advantage
