This role is responsible for formulating and executing regional strategy, strengthening cross-border collaboration, and driving sustainable business growth across the APAC region. The incumbent will act as a key liaison between Japan Headquarters and group companies in APAC, ensuring strategic alignment, effective governance, and new business creation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the APAC regional strategy in line with global and Japan Headquarters objectives.
- Manage and operate the APAC Regional Headquarters under the Chief Representative (Japanese), overseeing approximately 50 group companies across 12 APAC countries.
- Work closely with Directors and senior management (both Japanese and local staff) within each group company.
- Develop the Regional Headquarters corporate plan and prepare reports in Japanese for Japan Headquarters serve as the primary point of contact for HQ.
- Drive cross-selling initiatives by coordinating with business units across APAC group companies.
- Identify, develop, and promote new business opportunities aligned with the company's existing core businesses.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years experience in strategic planning within the electronics and/or factory automation industry.
- Strong strategic thinking with proven experience working across multiple countries and cultures.
- High proficiency in Japanese (spoken and written), required for close collaboration with Japan Headquarters.
