Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced General Manager (Management) to lead and oversee the wholesale operations of electronic components, focusing on regional market development and marketing strategy for India and Bangkok (Thailand). This role drives strategic planning, operational management, and business development to ensure sustainable growth, supply chain efficiency, and compliance with regulatory and corporate governance requirements. The position involves close collaboration with headquarters in Japan and related group companies.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in sales, operations, finance, and administration to achieve business objectives and drive measurable growth
- Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies to expand market presence, increase customer base, and grow revenue in regional markets
- Oversee procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution processes to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Manage relationships with overseas suppliers, manufacturers, and key customers to secure favorable terms and strengthen partnerships
- Monitor pricing strategies, control costs, and manage profit margins aligned with market trends and competitive dynamics
- Review financial performance, budgets, forecasts, and operational KPIs to ensure business targets are met and risks are mitigated
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations, import/export requirements, and corporate governance standards to maintain operational integrity
- Identify business risks, market opportunities, and technological trends within the electronics industry to inform strategic decision-making
- Drive process improvements, digitalization initiatives, and operational excellence to enhance productivity and competitiveness
- Represent the company in negotiations, supplier discussions, and strategic partnerships to advance business interests
- Communicate and coordinate regularly with headquarters in Japan and related group companies to align strategies and operations
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience in wholesale, trading, or distribution of electronic components or related industries
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior management or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of electronic components markets, sourcing, and supply chain operations
- Proven track record in business development, supplier management, and commercial negotiations
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing profit and loss (P&L)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in English and Japanese (written and spoken) to effectively liaise with headquarters in Japan and related group companies
