Reporting to the Managing Director, the General Manager leads Sincere's Singapore business, driving commercial performance, operational excellence, and organizational effectiveness. The role is responsible for executing business strategies, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering sustainable growth while upholding the Company's luxury retail standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute the long-term strategic vision for the Singapore business, aligned with the Group's objectives.
- Formulate annual business plans, commercial strategies and investment priorities to achieve sustainable growth.
- Identify new business opportunities, market trends and competitive developments to strengthen Sincere's market leadership.
- Lead business transformation initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness, customer experience and long-term competitiveness.
- Translate strategic priorities into clear objectives and measurable action plans across all departments.
Commercial Performance & P&L Ownership
- Assume responsibility for achieving revenue, gross profit and profitability targets.
- Manage annual budgets, forecasting and business planning processes.
- Monitor key business and financial indicators, implementing timely actions to improve performance.
- Drive commercial initiatives that enhance productivity, profitability and operational efficiency
- Ensure disciplined cost management while maintaining exceptional client experiences and brand standards.
Brand Development
- Work closely with brand principals to develop annual business plans and identify growth opportunities.
- Support successful product launches, marketing campaigns and commercial initiatives.
- Strengthen Sincere's positioning as a trusted retail partner for both international luxury brands and independent watchmakers.
- Ensure alignment between commercial objectives and brand expectations.
Retail Excellence & Operations
- Provide leadership to the retail operations team to deliver exceptional customer experiences across all boutiques.
- Drive retail performance by ensuring consistent execution of service standards, operational excellence and key retail KPIs.
- Foster a customer-first culture that enhances productivity, client satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
Client Development, Marketing & CRM
- Lead customer acquisition, retention and client engagement strategies to strengthen long-term customer relationships.
- Drive CRM excellence through data-driven clienteling, personalization and lifecycle management.
- Oversee integrated marketing, events, partnerships and digital initiatives to build brand awareness and generate qualified demand.
- Foster a vibrant collector community through educational content, exclusive experiences and meaningful engagement.
Merchandising & Inventory Management
- Provide strategic oversight of merchandise planning, buying, product assortment, allocation and pricing strategies.
- Optimize inventory productivity by balancing stock availability, sell-through and inventory turnover.
- Ensure product assortments are aligned with customer demand, commercial objectives and brand strategies.
Leadership & Organization
- Lead, coach and develop department heads and boutique management teams to achieve business objectives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and customer focus.
- Build organizational capability through talent development, succession planning and performance management.
- Encourage cross-functional collaboration to improve execution and business performance.
Stakeholder Management & Governance
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with brand principals, landlords and key business partners.
- Lead regular business reviews with internal stakeholders and brand partners.
- Represent the Singapore business at key meetings, events and industry engagements as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, governance standards and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business management or a related discipline. MBA is an advantage.
- At least 10–15 years of management experience within luxury retail, premium consumer goods or a related industry, with a minimum of five years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of delivering commercial growth and managing business performance.
- Strong understanding of luxury retail operations, customer engagement and brand management.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
