Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Sales & Marketing, the General Manager, Sales & Marketing plays a key leadership role in driving the commercial success of the TAFMER business. The incumbent will work closely with regional offices, customers, and internal stakeholders to strengthen business performance, support strategic growth initiatives, and ensure effective execution of sales and marketing strategies across the regions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive the overall sales and marketing strategy for the TAFMER business to achieve revenue, profitability, market share, and growth objectives.
  • Drive commercial performance by overseeing pricing strategies, sales performance, margin management, and business profitability to deliver annual budget and strategic targets.
  • Lead regional sales organizations and foster alignment across markets to ensure consistent execution of business strategies and achievement of regional objectives.
  • Develop and implement commercial and marketing initiatives to strengthen market position, expand customer relationships, and capture new business opportunities.
  • Drive business growth through new market development, new application commercialization, and strategic business transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with regional offices and cross-functional teams such as production, supply chain, and finance to ensure effective execution of business plans and timely resolution of commercial issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, business partners, and internal stakeholders to support long-term business success and sustainable growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Chemical Sciences with minimum 10 years of relevant experience in global sales and marketing.
  • Sound knowledge of polyolefin elastomer products, marketing, finance, logistics, and commercial operations.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in sales management, pricing, profitability management, and market development.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with regional offices and cross-functional stakeholders in a multicultural business environment.
  • Strongcommunication, leadership, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Highly motivated, adaptable, and able to respond effectively to changing business and market conditions.
  • Japanese language proficiency isrequired for communication with customers andbusiness counterparts in Japan.
