JOB DESCRIPTION:
Department: Regional Strategic Planning, ASEAN / INDIA Sales & Marketing
Reports to: Deputy Director (Regional Sales & Marketing)
Functional relationships:
- Strategic Planning for Sales & Marketing Division in HQ / Japan and RMCs / Singapore, US, EURO, China
- Product Division in HQ / Japan and RMCs / Singapore, US, EURO, China
- Business development, sales and sales managers in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and India.
- Regional functional units of RMC (Sales Operations & supply chain management,regional marketing, new business development).
POSITION PROFILE:
- Based in Singapore,
- As the General Manager for Regional Strategic Planning, ASEAN / INDIA Sales & Marketing, you will drive strategic initiatives and oversee the development and execution of regional sales and marketing plans across the ASEAN and Indian markets.
- You will collaborate with regional & global teams to ensure alignment with organization strategies while being responsive to market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
- Your leadership will be crucial in optimizing market opportunities, enhancing customer experience, and driving revenue growth.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement regional sales and marketing strategies that align with corporate objectives and resonate with the unique needs of the ASEAN and Indian markets.
- Lead a team to drive the PDCA management of all related policies/strategies within the Asean & India region to achieve long term organization goals.
- Lead the regional Planning to plan and conduct timely strategy reviews.
- Lead and mentor the regional planning team, within the RMC, design drive initiatives to foster a desired to improve employee's engagement.
- Drive regional Policies permeation, communicating strategic goals clearly and ensure buy-in from all team members and stakeholders.
- Manage the analysis of market, marco intelligence and converts insights, risk management to strategic recommendations and implementation.
- Plan and drive the digital transformation strategies and execution linking to customer's experience within the regional sales & marketing organization.
- Manage the governance of regional sales & marketing by leading credit risk management and revenue analytics.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders in the region.
- Act as a liaison between local teams and corporate headquarters, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
- Plan and drive Sales revenue and SGA management.
- Collaborate with product management, finance, BE and other departments to ensure cohesive execution of strategies.
- Coordinate talent management and HR related strategies & issues within RMC.
- Build strong network and relationship at both internal and external organization.
- Improve staff competency for sales and marketing planning.
- Impart knowledge for local staff to handle strategic planning jobs through mentoring or coaching.
Ability/Competency required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Science or a related field.
- Electronics engineering knowledge will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales and marketing strategies.
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficency in language and presentation skills (English and Japanese).
- Project and team management skill and experience.
- Strategic Marketing Fundamentals (PESTLE analysis, Porters Five Forces, BCG Matrix, Mckinsey 7S, SWOT, BMC, BSC etc.)
- Positive attitude in challenging work environment.
- Able to travel to ASEAN and India region.
