Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of ongoing projects across Private Residential/Commercial building, each led by dedicated Project Managers.
- Provide strategic leadership, technical oversight, and ensure successful delivery of all projects under your purview - on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
- Set up and manage project governance frameworks including scope, budget, schedule, quality, safety, environmental, and sustainability targets.
- Review and approve project milestones, resource allocation, vendor and subcontractor performance.
- Monitor progress, identify variances (cost, schedule, quality), and implement corrective or pre-emptive actions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements (e.g., BCA, SCDF, URA, MOH, NEA).
- Champion a strong safety culture across all sites and project teams.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the senior point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and government agencies.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution.
- Provide regular, transparent project status updates to senior management and clients.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers and cross-functional project teams to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Promote knowledge sharing, technical excellence, and continuous improvement across teams.
- Build succession and leadership capability in alignment with future business growth.
Business & Strategic Growth
- Support business development initiatives, including client relationship management, tender participation, and bid reviews.
- Contribute to the company's long-term strategy, operational excellence, and market expansion.
- Prepare to assume full general management responsibilities including P&L ownership, resource management, and strategic leadership.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in building and construction, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (General Manager or equivalent).
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale projects across private residential, or commerical building.
