General Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven General Manager to oversee the company's daily operations, business development, project management, financial performance, and overall business growth.

The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth coordination between management, operations, project teams, customers, suppliers, and employees while achieving the company's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall day-to-day operations of the company.
• Develop and implement business strategies, operational plans, and growth initiatives.
• Manage and coordinate ACMV, air-conditioning, mechanical and engineering projects.
• Monitor project progress, cost, quality, manpower, and completion schedules.
• Lead and supervise department managers, engineers, supervisors, technicians, and administrative staff.
• Develop new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and clients.
• Review quotations, tenders, contracts, and commercial proposals.
• Monitor company revenue, expenses, cash flow, and overall financial performance.
• Ensure projects are completed within the approved budget, timeline, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, main contractors, and authorities.
• Ensure compliance with MOM, BCA, WSH, environmental, safety, and other applicable Singapore regulations.
• Establish and maintain company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Monitor manpower requirements, recruitment, training, and staff performance.
• Conduct regular management meetings and review operational and financial performance.
• Identify operational risks and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and record keeping.
• Represent the company in meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and business partners.
• Provide regular reports and recommendations to the Directors/Management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the company management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, ACMV, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant management experience, preferably in ACMV, air-conditioning, M&E, construction, or engineering industries.
• Strong knowledge of ACMV/HVAC systems, project operations, and engineering works will be an advantage.
• Proven experience in managing teams, projects, budgets, and business operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Good understanding of Singapore construction and engineering industry practices.
• Knowledge of BCA, MOM and WSH requirements is an advantage.
• Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant project management software.
• Able to work independently and under pressure.
• Strong command of English knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
• Singapore driving licence is preferred.
