We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead the operations of our hotel in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving performance across all departments, ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction, optimizing financial results, and leading a diverse team in a competitive hospitality environment.
The General Manager will report directly to the Managing Director and the Board of Directors, and will work collaboratively with other General Managers across the Group.
Responsibilities
1. Oversees all aspects of daily hotel operations, ensuring excellence in guest experience, employee engagement, revenue growth, property standards, and financial performance.
2. Leads, motivates, and develops the hotel team to achieve business goals while maintaining a positive workplace culture.
3. Drives profitability by implementing effective revenue management, cost control, and productivity measures.
4. Balances the use of technology with personalized guest service to optimize efficiency without compromising the human touch.
5. Ensures consistent delivery of high-quality services and facilities in line with brand and company standards.
6. Develops and executes strategic plans aligned with market demand, leveraging technological and financial opportunities.
7. Collaborates with Sales & Marketing to design and deliver innovative products, promotions, and services.
8. Ensures compliance with all statutory requirements, including employment law, workplace safety, fire safety, and other regulations.
9. Builds and strengthens the hotel's image and reputation through engagement with guests, employees, government bodies, and community organizations.
10. Fosters collaboration with peer General Managers within the group to share best practices and align strategies.
Requirements
1. Degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
2. Minimum of 8 years senior management experience in a 4-star or higher-grade hotel of similar size and complexity.
3. Strong background in revenue management, forecasting, and budgeting, with a proven ability to maximize revenue opportunities.
4. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
5. Strategic thinker with flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-changing labor and market environment.
6. Familiarity with modern hospitality technologies and ability to implement them effectively without compromising personal service.
7. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
8. Open-minded and collaborative, with the ability to work closely with peers and stakeholders at group and board level.
9. Strong business acumen, integrity, and commitment to ethical practices.
