Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

The General Manager will report to the Director (Commercial) and will be responsible for the following:

1. Lead Business Development initiatives for LNG carriers and FSRUs:

. Liaise with the headquarters and regional group companies to develop business opportunities for LNG carriers and Floating Storage and Regasification Units (FSRU), mainly in the Asia-Pacific region.

. Supervise the project development team in the company for FSRU.

. Work closely with senior management at the headquarters, providing the necessary reports and securing approvals for new business initiatives and strategic endeavours.

. Lead the design, negotiation, and finalization of shipping related agreements and various commercial contracts to secure and advance strategic business prospects.

. Engage and coordinate with accounting firms, legal counsels, lenders, and shipping brokers to support both the management of existing joint ventures and the development of new commercial opportunities.

. Establish and maintain effective governance and management frameworks for joint venture companies between K Line and partners to ensure strong operational and business performance in LNG related projects.

. Support corporate secretarial responsibilities for subsidiary companies and joint venture entities, ensuring compliance with corporate governance and statutory requirements.

. Support group companies in execution of projects and oversee matters pertaining to shareholders to ensure alignment with corporate priorities.

2. Collaborate with management and technical personnel across K Line group companies globally to achieve the divisional objectives.

3. Cultivate and expand relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders within the global LNG industry.

4. Provide senior management with analytical insights to support strategic planning and informed decision making in both the short and long term.

5. Oversee periodic performance reviews of LNG activities to ensure operational targets and group company objectives are consistently achieved.

6. Support the Director in general affairs, HR matters, annual budgets and other duties as assigned.

Qualification and experience:

. Minimum of seven years of experience in LNG carriers or FSRU ownership, or similar large-scale ( US$100 million) project execution. Ship operation experience is an advantage.

. Proven experience in participating in and organizing procurement tenders, preferably with involvement in projects related to LNG carriers and FSRUs.

. Experience in handling key project contracts, such as time charter parties and loan agreements.

. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, or similar. Strong cash-flow modelling skills are an advantage.

. Strong people management capabilities.

. Extensive knowledge of industry publications and regulations.

. A bachelor's degree in business, legal, economics, accounting, finance, foreign languages or international studies a postgraduate degree is an advantage.

. Prior working experience in shipping company or ship management company is an advantage.

. Willingness to undertake occasional overseas trips.
