Main Purpose
The main purpose of this role is maintaining high quality, accurate and timely management and financial reporting for the individual Groupe Agencies serviced by Re:Sources that is compliant with Groupe Policies (Janus) and external/internal audit requirements.
The role also has responsibility for the operational management of a team and must demonstrate leadership and people/team management skills.
About the Role
The Key Accountabilities are, but not limited to:
- Overall responsibility for bank reconciliation function in Malaysia.
- In addition, to assist CAO manage the GL function in Singapore and Malaysia.
- Provide functional direction for team members on a day to day basis as appropriate for the team.
- Ensure all monthly financial services are delivered and all month end deadlines are met.
- Ensure compliance with all Groupe Policies and statutory financial controls including external/internal audit requirements.
- Ongoing improvement of the quality of work processes to promote standard and efficient processes for both Re:Sources and Agencies.
- Ensure all internal record management is maintained to comply with all audit standards, both internal and external audits.
- Provide technical guidance on accounting and tax issues to the team and Agency CFOs as and when required.
- Manage relationships with Agency finance teams, auditors, tax advisors and internal ReSources teams.
- Set and communicate clear team direction, leadership and mentoring to support a motivated and positive working environment and professional attitude within the team.
- Support collaboration within Groupe and agencies which include agencies integration, legal entities reduction, Post Monthend & Balance Sheet Review and etc.
- Assist management on continuous improvement projects as appropriate that may arise on an ad-hoc basis.
Business Compliance
Ensure a sound understanding of, demonstrate commitment to & comply with all legislation & Publicis Groupe Policies (Janus) relevant to your role & all activities undertaken in that role.

- Actively develop and maintain strong working relationships with all Re:Sources personnel both at a interpersonal level and across all business processes within the wider business environment.
- Actively maintain communication and behaviour standards that foster a culture of strong customer and service excellence both within Re:Sources and across all customer and supplier organisations.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accountancy
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience with 5-7 years in a managerial position
- Proven Financial Management Skills
- Ability to Lead/Motivate a team
Required Skills
- Knowledge of accounting standards and tax requirements
- Experience in Shared Services Centre (SSC tools like R2R, process improvements with automation)
- Experience in Statutory Compliances, Blackline, revenue, and Analytical skills
- Experience in Team Management and Stakeholder Management
- Experience in Bank reconciliations, Balance Sheet Review, Month End close Process.
- Ability to evaluate and understand business processes and integrate with accounting and control functions
- Ability to analyse results and provide inferences and conclusions
- Possesses absolute integrity
- Strong communication, interpersonal, planning & analytical skills
- Demonstrate maturity in thinking and in conduct
- Hands-on person with an eye for detail
- Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement
Preferred Skills (including Technology)
- Experience in using accounting systems and reporting packages
- Experience in Hyperion & SAP reporting is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Excel
- Experience in analysis of data and reporting compilation
- Preferably able to speak and read Malay language
- Experience in Financial Management
