This role exists to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the company's financial records by managing the full spectrum of general ledger activities. The General Ledger (GL) Accountant is responsible for maintaining a disciplined financial closing process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing reliable financial information to support business decisions.
Responsibilities
. Lead and review full set of GL activities and ensure accurate, timely month-end and year-end closing
. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain schedules for accuracy and completeness
. Handle fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and GST preparation
. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, and liaise with auditors, tax agents, and internal stakeholders
. Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations
. Perform other ad-hoc finance duties as assigned.
