Job Description

Contract Role: 1 year (renewable)

Purpose of the Role

The GL Accountant (Contract) will support the Accounting team in period-end close, balance sheet management, statutory and regulatory reporting, and audit requirements. This role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial records in accordance with group, statutory, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger Close and Accounting

  • Execute general ledger closing procedures for monthly, quarterly, and annual close.

  • Park journal entries, including preparation of Purchase Price Variance (PPV) allocations and other COGS adjustment entries.

Balance Sheet, Loans, and Capex

  • Maintain and review Balance Sheet schedules, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and upload supporting schedules into FloQast.

  • Track and maintain accounting for loans and advances.

  • Support Capex accounting, including budget and forecast tracking.

Reporting and Compliance

  • Support SEC reporting requirements, in coordination with the Global Accounting Team.

  • Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements.

  • Support external audit requirements, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to audit queries.

  • Assist with tax-related requirements, including preparation of detailed supporting schedules.

  • Support internal audit requirements.

Process Improvement and Systems

  • Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, controls, and documentation.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accountancy, or Finance.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in general ledger accounting within MNC environments.

  • Strong foundational knowledge of core accounting principles, including general ledger, and balance sheet accounting.

  • Proficiency in SAP and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage tight reporting deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Able to work independently and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
