General Ledger Accountant (6-months Contract)

We're looking for a meticulous and proactive General Ledger Accountant to join our central Finance team. In this role, you'll support accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities, manage high transaction volumes, and work closely with both local and group-level finance stakeholders.

What You'll Do
- Manage month-end closing activities and perform reconciliations within reporting timelines
- Ensure compliance with SFRS, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare journals, supporting documents, and schedules
- Handle fixed asset entries and monthly depreciation
- Reconcile intercompany balances and transactions across entities
- Prepare quarterly GST reports for consolidated submission
- Handle annual tax computations and liaise with tax agents for corporate tax filing
- Support statutory audits — audit schedules, draft FS, and auditor queries
- Assist with IFRS 116 compliance and coordination with auditors/UK finance
- Participate in finance projects and process improvements
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Finance Manager
What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
- At least 2 years of hands-on accounting experience (multi-entity or high-volume preferred)
- Proficient in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of SFRS and core accounting principles
- Meticulous, analytical, and deadline-driven
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
- External audit experience (2–4 years) is a plus
