Legal Counsel - Leading Prop Trading firm - Singapore

We are partnering with a leading crypto proprietary trading firm, established in 2022 by the leading professionals from the finance industry. As the firm continues its rapid growth and grow into traditional finance, they are seeking a Legal counsel to lead and scale their legal operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of quantitative trading and digital assets, playing a key role in shaping the firm's legal infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage all legal matters for the firm from initial scoping through to resolution, ensuring timely and commercially effective outcomes.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including prime brokerage agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), vendor contracts, service agreements, and other commercial documentation.
• Advise the business on corporate structuring, entity formation, and cross-border legal and regulatory considerations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support corporate governance activities, including board processes, statutory obligations, and maintenance of corporate records.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the firm's legal and compliance framework, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to identify legal and regulatory risks and provide pragmatic, business-focused solutions.
• Manage external counsel and coordinate legal support on complex transactions, disputes, and regulatory matters as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Law or related field
• 4+ years of professional experience in a law form, or in house at a finical institution or trading firm.
• Knowledge of financial services regulation: familiarity with crypto regulation is a plus but not required
• Experience in family office, venture capital, or financial services (advantageous).
• Strong team player with ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
