Description

This is an energy company focused on the procurement, importation, trading, and distribution of natural gas. Due to business expansion, they are looking for Gas Portfolio Optimization Analyst to join the Singapore team.

Role

Reporting to Optimization Manager. This role focuses on managing gas portfolios by maintaining contract positions, forecasting supply and demand, and optimizing portfolio balance while monitoring exposures and executing hedging strategies. It involves analyzing pricing trends, supporting deal evaluation from both commercial and operational perspectives, and ensuring accurate deal capture and P&L reporting in collaboration with internal teams. The role also supports regulatory compliance by monitoring industry regulations, assisting with audits, and mitigating risks, while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support reporting needs and contribute to regulatory consultations.

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds a degree in engineering, or a related field, with 1-3 years of experience in oil & gas or the power utility sector, a strong understanding in the natural gas value chain. They possess a foundational understanding of risk management, supply operations, and P&L, with the ability to build analytical models to support supply optimization.
